i didn't mean to say money and a house are of utmost importance... please don't misunderstand me. I just mean it's helpful when the guy is self-sufficient. And it sounds like you are, so no big deal there.
Like asuka said, just give it time. If anything, you have an advantage in that you are more comfortable interacting with people in person vs. online. After all, IMs and emails can only take a person so far.
