He already likes the Daddy Game, so I think he will be receptive to your ideas. A safe way of bringing up diapers would be to ask him how he would feel about putting a diaper on you, but with the understanding that you would not use it. It would just be for the soft warm secure feeling, and would help the whole scene. This is a reasonable step from where you are now, and does not confront him with dealing with a used diaper. His response to this may tell you how he feels about you using the diaper. Maybe he will like the idea of dry diapers. After several sessions like that, you might have a tiny accident in the diaper and tell him that you were so relaxed as his babygirl that it just slipped out, and you will go to the bathroom and change it yourself. He might let you go, or he might say that he would like to do it himself. Start with the idea of a dry diaper only, just as a prop for the scene, and see how it goes. If the possibility of using it comes up, emphasize that your desire to use it comes from the deep safety and security you feel with him. Even the nicest, sweetest and most loving guys still have egos.
