The idea of what someone is or isn't lies entirely in the mind. Perhaps that sounds like psychobabble, but what I mean to say is that you should not overanalyze your situation. Trial and error is usually the best way to find out what is right for you. For example, I have only had one serious relationship other than my husband, and rough sex gave me mindblowing orgasms when my husband and I were still having sex online. However, I found that I do not have a high pain tolerance, and do not enjoy pain very often. Just try and apply that to ab thinking. One thing though. If you do look for a daddy, be up front about wanting to try this with him, but not being sure if this is what you want forever. Hope it works out.
