You do realize that it takes up to 48 hours to upload anything to Social Parody, right? They changed it so the admin can make sure it is not stolen from a pay site or something. There was something written about on the forum. Give it to until Tuesday (US) for it to come up.

I totally agree. Give people freedom, because they're GOING to strive for freedom anyway. Either because you let them have it or because they run away and go elsewhere where there IS freedom. Humans are like that. They don't willingly sit in cages. They always try to escape any kind of imprisonment. They always will.

Banning the posting of links is like a chef walking out into the restaurant's dining area and directly giving the finger to all of his patrons. No problem. Do it if you feel you must. But don't feel angry or confused when your patrons never return and the word around town is that your site is a place not to be trusted.

Wetset makes the world's best pooping videos and sells them. They MUST have a policy against linking to pirated content, it's a reciprocal agreement so that other sites will take down copied videos from this site. That's the way it's going to be if you want these people to be able to afford to bring your the best site, the best forum, the best free pics, and the best videos for sale. To expect everything for free at someone else's great expense means you have the morality of a tapeworm. The easiest way to accomplish not serving up links to other peoples' content without paying someone to monitor the site 24/7 is to just have the server filter out URL's. Unless YOU want to pay someone to sit there and manually monitor the forums.

That said, if you have a vid to share, go to the vid forum, and munge the URL by putting a space in it so the server does not see it as a URL. You may not realize that when any site has a URL on its page, your browser tells the destination site which site the URL was on. So other site admins will see a bunch of traffic redirected from here, and the admin at the other site will contact Wetset saying, 'what the hell are you doing?'. By putting a space into the link, users have to copy and paste it into their address bar, then delete the space. That way, no referrer header is sent to the remote server, and they have no way to tell where it came from. OK, got it? There IS a way to share links. Don't whine. Put up your own site, and if you think everything should be free, don't charge for it.

Oh, and please contact me when you open your own restaurant. I'll bring in some fast food from down the street and ask for a glass of ice water to wash it down with.

Listen I believe what the other poster said is true, the will not post copyrighted material here from other sites and I do not blame them because they do not want it happening to them. If you want too, pay for it.
