I remember the Daily Dump very well, although it's over a decade ago. If I remember rightly I used to post there as Adydumpy - at least I think that was my handle but it was so long ago. As someone else has already said, for a long time it was unmoderated and therein lay the cause of it's demise. A lot of spam and other rubbish ended up there and, despite efforts to rescue the situation, it just deteriorated to a point where it was beyond help.
