What you describe sounds like less of an impulsive event, I enjoy those most. I've done it in my pants, in nappies or naked while laying in various positions, I've tried doing it just after going to bed, intending to spend the whole night in a messy nappy, but I've not been able to relax and end up changing myself after the thought of the smell lingering in the duvet for days.
Impulsive events are best enjoyed by keeping the bed constantly in a safe state, to provide carefree and confident protection from leaking overnight nappies and morning bed wetting or pooping. My wife doesn't like the rustle of the plastic sheet, but knows I like it and rarely asks me to remove it. To be fair to her, it's mostly made up with additional protection only when she's working away from home.
