Jane, you MUST be patient. You have achieved one thing that many cannot - your SO pooped his pants for you. The fact that there was little to no odor would have been (at least for me) a pleasant surprise, but it appears it is one of the things you really wanted. Were you close enough to detect it, or were you still outside the bathroom as he pooped? I do find that a little surprising.
But please be patient with him. He'll probably come around you meeting your desires face-to-face eventually. I have NO idea what kind of joy that will bring, but I expect you will like it. Don't consider it bad luck that you got a guy that doesn't smell much - it might have been just circumstantial. There are some foods, after all, that do not produce violent odors, and some that do. Just wait it out, and perhaps have him change his diet and exercise programs. Somewhere in there, you will find his odor --- and so will he.
