Actually, it only gets messy if you gotta go #2. There was one time I was getting ready to have sex with a guy sort of spontaneously and he said "hold on a sec, gotta use the john first", so he went, I waited, then all was fine.
My boyfriend now often farts during sex, which is hot! Usually just before I enter and always after I pull out--it's common. I fart, too. After sex, though, if not using a condom, you'll feel like you have diarrhea, and sometimes that will sneak out with a fart.
