I agree that it doesn't matter who is writing the post or how they are representing themselves, so long as they make a good contribution. However, I'm skeptical about the notion of a male vs. female "voice".
I once knew a woman, in person, who posted to a sexually-charged, male-dominated forum like this one, expressing her own take on and practice of that particular fetish. She was roundly denounced as being a man in disguise and ultimately gave up and left.
It was that experience more than any other that convinced me, not only that you can't truly determine someone's sex based solely on their writings, but that it really doesn't matter.
