True enough. I did it once or twice at the mall, thanks to the begging and pleading of a fetishist I had hooked up with (and who turned out to be a real jerk). I didn't get hassled, but I know of others on this website who have been thrown out by security guards. And you can get in major trouble with bouncers if you should happen to wet your pants on a bar stool.
Here in the U.S., there is a rather loosely defined law called "creating a public nuisance." Cops often use it to arrest bums and winos who wet their pants in public.
You CAN get in trouble for this sort of a thing. Have your fun, darlin', but watch your precious back!
