That must have been awful, particularly with the first girl you ever went out with. Something like that might have cured me of filling my panties ---- maybe.
The closest I ever got to being caught was on one of those times when I would fill my panties in the big hallway downstairs from where I worked. It had started out of me, and suddenly there was this guy that needed directions in the building. I managed to stay as far from him as I could while getting the idea of where he needed to be. He got my directions, and was off, and I was safe... I just continued my walk, and finished my job...
