Also, it's a good potential to be a bit of a tease.
A girl I knew, that I told would hint at things all the time.
Like she'd come home call me and it'd go like:
"Hang on, I have to get changed"
"Why?"
"My pants are all wet"
At this point I'd be pretty much speechless
"...I fell skating"
She never would admit to doing it on purpose, and it sounds normal enough not to raise anyone elses attention. You should try that, no mess but still a lot of fun.
