This isn't quite the same, but my mom told me I could go in my pants once when I was 9 or 10. We were on the way to the beach and were stuck on a bridge at an open draw span. There was no where to go potty and I had to go very bad. This isn't the exact wording, but she said something like, there's nowhere to do it here without everyone seeing, so you'll just have to poop in your pants if you can't hold it". I managed to hold on for a while, then the inevitble happened and I pooped in my pants. My cousin Mary who was with us peed her pants also., When we finally got moving and got to the first stop, my mom took some clean underpants and clothes for Mary and I and headed for the ladies room to help us change and clean up. There was a line and although I can't say for sure anyone else pooped their pants, there were several other kids in line with wet pants and at least one adult.
