It helps for me. If I have to go really bad and I hold my crotch then I can keep from wetting myself for a little longer. If I set myself up to be desperate and I have to stop holding myself to go into a store, I do end up wetting myself, at first it starts as a couple of small spurts and then I eventually lose all control.
