It's called hydration. Athletes do it all the time - fill up on water, then relieve the excess water just before competition starts.
I do it when jogging in the park - pee and sweat are basically the same. I drink a lot of water cause it gets hot here. Better to drink too much water (and hydrate thru your pants) than get dehydrated.
