OK, I'll be gentler. Suggesting that the fetish is gaining in popularity is just plain wrong – nothing but wishful thinking by someone who wants to believe ever so much that it is.
If your so sure it’s gaining in popularity, bring it up the next time you go visit the in-laws, or are at the office party. At best you will be made a fool, at worse, you’ll be labeled a pervert.
