I recall reading a story about when Frank
Sinatra was a teen idol in the 1940s. A
janitor in one of the big New York theaters, perhaps the Paramount, was quoted as saying
-- after a performance by Sinatra in front of an audience of mostly teenage girls -- that he believed there had been more urine deposited on the theater seats than in the toilets that day.
