Believe me, if I could've gotten out of the car, I would've. This was on an interstate, and I was in the lane farthest from the emergency lane in bumper to bumper traffic. I would've had to walk across two other lanes of cars and then do it with everyone watching (no bushes around unfortunately or I would've made good use of them :) ). I considered all my options, but then realized I really didn't have any. As for my daughter, that kid has never wet her pants since she was potty-trained. I don't know how she manages. Maybe the threat of being grounded from watching Disney movies is enough to ensure that she doesn't wet. :)
