Where? A good question. I tried various things at home first. With plastic sheet right under the cotton it left too much of a pool. But with a fairly absorbant under-sheet (you can get them with a rubberised underneath as well) it was OK if I didn't spill too much. I did once purposely wet an unprotected hotel bed. It was my best ever experience of it, and to my delight and surprise I shot my seed straight after. Yes, I'd had some disagreement with the desk earlier, but as I thought about it later I did feel a bit guilty.

Some hotel beds have an undersheet wich is absorbant on top and rubberised underneath, others
have separate protector. I guess they only wash the undersheet from time to time or after someone wetted.

I'd be interested in how you do these things.
