Dejay, I would welcome Tennis Girl to the board if she were intending to make use of it as such. She patently has a distrust of this concept at least, and I think that she has a long way to go to get to the point where she can overcome this distrust to even see that there is something to be gained by participating rather than living in the shadow of her paranoia. I too feel that she does not truly appreciate wetting as a pastime, but was perhaps seeking some sort of advice/panacaea or support for what she considers a problem.
I am particularly sad that Tennis Girl can't find this with her husband, and that he appears to be at least part of the problem. I think if it weren't for the fact of that, she may have stumbled onto this practice as one of enjoyment.
I'm sorry, Tennis Girl, if you are reading this, that you have become the subject of some conversation which is just as disappointing in its context for us as it is for you in principle. For the record, I think that you misinterpretted my statements - I was not being personal, and to be honest, I don't care really what you do - it's your business. If you take the time to reread what I wrote, objectively this time, you will see that I was commenting on your choice of email (very direct and personal) over the bbs (by definition relatively anonymous and easy to deal with if you don't like it), all this when you purport to wish to protect yourself. If you don't like what you are reading on a bbs, you just turn it off, go somewhere else. It's a bit harder to do that with unwanted emails. These are general principles and nothing to do with you personally.
Dejay, I think that your analysis has truth in it, but I think we should just leave Tennis Girl alone to decide for herself what she wants to do and/or believe. I hope that she can put this behind her and come to know that we (at least you and I) mean no harm to her, and eventually join us on the board as a happy, contributing member.
