I know that some people used their sinks to pee in before it became common with a bathroom in each apartment/house, a few generations ago in Norway. Especially at night or when the weather was bad, the kitchen sinks were used for this purpose. Often a kitchen had two sinks - one for washing dishes and one for other things like emptying wash buckets with dirty water, rinsing vegetables and stuff like that, I don't know. I remember those sinks, they were often white, low sinks with a blue rubber edge. I never used one, but was told that the men sometimes did, and that their wives seldom liked that and it was kind of embarrassing to admit going in the sink. But everyone knew that some people did. This was especially in poor working class areas where many families shared one bathroom and toilet in the hall or stairways of the building, or where the toilets were outdoors in the yard and not water closets inside.
