OK then, but you may be disappointed. I'm disappointed that no one has written about when they, like me, were caught out. Surely most people have been at one time or other. I suppose this is mainly a board for those who say 'I'm sitting at my computer and I've held out for eight hours' etc., though it was not always so. Personally, I like true tales and revelations and desperate happenings - but we are a minority here!
Well, then, Frodo. What happened? We were at out wits end, runnning on the spot and and rubbing our hands, grimacing. I was sure I'd disgrace myself any minute and was almost in tears with the awfulness of the situation. The girls saw our distress and commented sympathetically and eventually, as the bus still failed to arrive, our teacher, seeing the impending disaster, said something like: 'Look, there's a lane behind these houses ....' That's all we needed. We ran like mad things,round the corner, into the lane and give or take a bit of leaking on the way and a bit more as we desperately unzipped, we more or less made it - as people nearly always do!
