I don't use the newsgroups much, due to spam, but it appears my new provider actually deletes advertisements for me. Either that or the art of spamming has died (probably not). But when I'm checking out alt.binaries.erotica.urine and I see someone has posted a movie, it the movies is broken into about 10 files and its binary code has been converted to ASCII characters. Each of the separate entries is labeled with something like '(08/14)' to show where it belongs in the original uncut file. Usually the first file, 01, contains the actual link to activate the particular video player required.
But almost everytime I click on one, the file locks up half-way through. Do I need to manually stitch the ASCII coded files together to view the entire video file? Or is it because there is a file missing, causing the video software to get lost? What is really odd is that if I am using Real Player, the time ticker on the video continues to run even though there is there is no sound and the picture has frozen.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
