As a volunteer fireman, I have seen both desperation and wet pants at a fire scene. When you are busy for many hours at a big fire, things like that just happen. There usually is no time or place except to use your pants. The bad part is it can be very dangerous. Wet pants in a hot fire can turn from warm pee to steam. This can produce the steamed clam effect. Or what doctors call really bad burns.
So this fanticy while very interesting, would not be recommended at a fire scene. That one is best kept for off duty time.
