Hi, WetOne;

I'm not so sure about the misguided part of it you mentioned, as no condemnation was made of anyone. While perhaps off topic by itself, Infoman has started what can be a very spirited (pardon the pun) thread that may actually reach out and touch some of us in a positive way.

Many of us at some point have a hard time as we come to terms with our fetish, and part of that is the perception of guilt over our activity. The average Joe or Jane Pantswetter with a computer has no doubt found places like Wet Set, Patches, Aloris, etc, which provide a wealth of material on the subject itself. Great for getting their jollies and talking to others about it!

But, we're a all still spiritual by nature, and at least some of the people out there are going to sleep at night, riddled with guilt and uncertainty, worried that they're not "normal", and wondering what, if any, spiritual implications there are to all this. So here's my question to not just you, but to everyone: Where would you send such a person to confide or just talk to someone else about this in a spiritual sense?

Imagine someone tells you "Hey, that's off topic...get out of here! Go talk to a minister if you have to get into that mumbo-jumbo!" How likely do you think you would be to just walk up to your minister/pastor/priest/rabbi/whatever and say "You know, pastor...I have this little game where I like to pee and poop in my pants for pleasure...umm, help me find out what the Bible says about that, because I've been finding myself fantasizing about that cute girl in the choir having an accident." Probably not a snowball's chance in hell would you do that.

So, what then is wrong with bringing it up here? Where else could a person go and feel some safety and anonymity? Those who are uncomfortable with watersports and religion, don't read or post. If you don't care, move on. But please don't attack someone who bravely speaks out after lurking for so long and says "yeah...I've wondered about that...I've got a lot of guilt/uncertainty/questions to deal with before I accept this." Remember, just because many of us are comfortable with who we are, doesn't mean we ALL are yet...there are more people being born, growing up, developing this interest, and eventually having to sort it out one way or another. Let's not make them feel any more threatened than they already may feel.

Of course, if the thread reaches the point that it's PURELY a spiritual discussion, then it would be an appropriate time to post a politeful reminder that there are other sites and venues for that. But as long as watersports has a bona fide tie-in to this discussion, what's the harm?
