Very much on the mark. Particularly the sado-masochistic connection. I, too, analyze the psychology of *everything* - to the point that my wife wants to beat me over the head.
The only thing I can add to your rather perspicacious - so fault me for adding a big word of my own - insight:
Interest in Male Desperation is generated, almost exclusivey, by the desire to see the stereotypical - perhaps I should say "textbook" - masculine male who is always in control, lose that control and become the one who is controled, even if it is a control by the situation at hand. As has been said before, pee-desperation is one of societies great equalizers, bringing even the most strong and noble of men to their knees.
All equalizers, in general, appeal to both the confidant as well as those with inferiority complexes for opposing reasons, but nevertheless to both. There is something inate in our being that likes to see another person made a victim - what separates us is our reasons for wanting to see it. Some of us want to be the helper while others want to victimize further.
The pee twist is unique to our interest. Obviously, there is something deeper in our psyche that has caused this conjunction of obsessions. But pee-desperation is only one element in a much larger desperation/sado-masochistic category.
