No, it's English-speaking, but it most definitely is an Australian site, although it's hosted on a US server, otherwise it would have a .au at the end of the URL. As far as the idea that it's British is concerned, I don't know where you got that idea. Could be that a lot of people here use terms like knickers and loo, etc, but this is common in Aus as well.
