Speaking of "wet" surveillance footage (see posts below): Did anyone see this on World's Most Shocking Videos II (at least I think that's the title -- if not, then something very similar.)
The footage was from a police station somewhere in the US. There were two arresting officers (one male, one female), and they had a drunk guy in custody wearing what looked like running shorts, tube socks and a T-shirt. As the clip began, the guy's being real belligerant, mouthing off about how he's not going anywhere unless they let him use the bathroom. The cops are both doing their best to calm him down without compromising their authority by acceding to his demand. The female officer does most of the talking, while the male officer keeps his grip on the suspect's arm. At one point, the guy stops and asks point blank, "So you're not gonna let me use the bathroom?" To which she says flat out, "No." (The sense I got from this was that she wasn't being mean or vindictive -- she probably would have had her partner take him to the toilets IF the guy had been in any way reasonable. But he was obviously using "desperation" to retain some kind of "control" over his situation.)
So faced with this flat-out refusal, the guy says "Fine then," and pisses right there in the entryway to the station. The video isn't clear enough to actually see or hear what he's doing, but everyone's reaction is obvious. As is the context. It's purely an act of defiance on this drunk's part, and the female officer is completely exasperated. She says, "I can't believe you just did that. You're cleaning it up."
That's basically all there is to the clip they showed. It's a shame they didn't keep it rolling and actually show him on his knees mopping up his own pee.
This was on prime time broadcast television in America, by the way... and I was kicking myself that I didn't have the VCR set to record. I'm sure they'll air it again though; these shows are constantly recycled. So stay alert.
