I'm not sure how I'd react on being discovered out of the blue...a part of me is intrigued by the idea, but another part is apprehensive about how "exposed" I would be.
Anyway, on a similar topic, I've been fortunate enough to actually shake hands with two individuals that read the boards. The first was back in December, while I was in Washington D.C., where we arranged by email and phone to meet at a coffee shop in the airport right before I boarded a plane for home. The second was more recently, while I was out of town for a short trip. In both cases, we simply confirmed identities (having pre-planned what we would wear), shook hands, and then talked for about 10-15 minutes before parting ways with another handshake. Very low key, neutral, discreet, and yet exhilarating to actually meet and talk with a real person about the things we discuss each day here.
As I continue traveling in my job, I hope to meet others as well. We shall see....
