If they couldn't, they'd always be able to hold their pee during those bladder busting times. But from what I've learned; when a woman REALLY has to pee bad, she doesn't cross her legs for some reason. On a long car trip with a GF one time that had reached her limit and was severly, seriously warning me she was seconds from flooding the car seat I suggested she try crossing her legs so she could hold on for the rest area about ten miles up, and she said something to the effect of, she was way beyond that point.
