Yes, actually, it was...a mistake which we'll pay for eventually.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not advocating war. I'm just saying that, no matter how hard we work to make things better, there's still going to be some pain, suffering, and death on the earth, and yes, war too. I think we can work at having a strong national defense without actually perpetrating conflict. On a smaller scale, I keep a handgun in my nightstand in case of a break in. I pray I never have to use it for that, but if I do, I'm confident that I can effectively defend myself and family. I'd rather have it and not need it than wish for it as some punk shoves a knife into my ribs in the middle of the night.
