Has to be male, in America, any show with women doing anything other than doing homework/housework/office work is considered sexual.
So you could have a show like the Simpsons where every male character could pee them self, and they would just laugh at that, but as soon as a girl did it, they would ban the show for being overly sexual. As far as American TV is concerned, women have breasts, hips, hair, and a face. Anything suggesting otherwise would never get airtime.
In fact they nearly banned Who framed roger rabit, because in one scene there was three frames where if you looked up Jessica Rabbits dress there was a darker patch that the dirtier old men in the censorship office suggested looked like pubic hair.
Personally I have heard heaps of stupid stories about the US media and Government, society DOES one thing, but advocates another thing entirely.
I have very little respect for the US because of that. Worse still, its began to catch on in Australia as well. GRRR
