You can get a virus by simply receiving an email. It doesn't have to be an attachment. I received the following virus, VBS_KAKWORM.A, which runs automatically when the message is
displayed if you have a vulnerable version of Microsoft Outlook. It will shut down Windoze at 5pm on the 1st of the month.
