It would be nice to think that the TV companies would show the film as Jane Campion intended, though they tend to follow the video release cut. Maybe the only way to get a full-screen copy of this scene for home viewing is to buy a multi-region DVD player and get a Region 1 (US) release DVD, which presumably won't be cut. They also tend to include more alternative takes and background information on the film. Wouldn't it be great if they included some outtakes of Kate Winslet doing it for real with all the pee running down her leg. Lovely!
