Thank you. You've said exactly what I was trying to say.
Bill Gates is a business genius, and he deserves every penny he's earned.
And while I don't disagree that Linux, and Unix are both better OS's than Windows for someone who knows what they're doing, I do dispute those who claim that windows is so flawecd it's slowing down the business world.
I've run windows applications for 10 years, both at home/school, and now at work, and had a total of maybe a dozen serious malfunctions.
I'll take that anyday.
And as for Spencers comments on operating Linux, not only do you have to hire more people ot run Linux applications, but you also have to train them at an additional cost as to how to actually use Linux. Almost every professional nowadays has good windows skills. And that's all we should need.
Everytime I check my e-mail, write a paper, go online to read this fine BBS...I thank god we had the good fortune to have amung us a computer pioneer who made the whole technical revolution accessible to the average person. Otherwise, I'd never have discovered the internet, and never found others with my interest in watersports.
So take your professional credentials Mr. Computer Expert and shove them up your ass.
