...simply in front of your friends, I suggest you get semi-desperate (drink A LOT) and wait for one of your friends to crack a joke, and when you laugh, also push down a little bit, and you'll be on your way. The good thing about this plan is it won't allow you to chicken out forever, because eventually you'll have to go because you're desperate.
