Female police officer in a rural city. I work 12-8am, so many times we are busy so I put off relieving myself and then when you get the emergency call that you must postpone it for it's almost too late. I've taken some burglary complaints while trying not to fidget too obviously, but it's so hard. And you NEVER want to ask to use the complaintant's bathroom...so you always try to hold it until later. Not many places around here to go during 3rd shift, basically you have to go back to the house. When I walk in that door & dispatch trys to stop me with a question, I may try to listen while again trying not to fidget...or if ready to gush I will yell the "ooh, not now, gotta pee, gotta pee". Know what else makes it tough? Too much gear to remove when you finally are there....that's when I usually start to dribble in my panties...when I'm trying to get everything off to pee...can't imagine how other professions handle it, but would love to hear!
