Strange how these things differ, very annoying for me as I can't put loads of the same clip on, hahaha. Erm, as for Media Player I now use Version Number 7, but I think I did put a link for people to go to it and download it. I always check for upgrades per week. It may need to upgrade drivers and plugins but that takes only 2 minutes, just make sure you are online when it says "Windows Media needs to upgrade plugins/drivers".
I wish I could help more, I don't get why it doesn't work well on some others, for the record my system is : Athlon 600, 128mb ram, 16gb ram and Windows 98, 16mb video ram. So that system is all I can go by in testing terms.
