Rubber pants, made with a cuff leg opening rather than a gathered one, can be almost watertight: alternatively, try bloomers rather than pants, and pull the leg opening as far up your thighs as you can. This can be very effective in bed as you can wrap a towel arround your waist (as if you were changing your trunks at the seaside), pull up the bloomers over them, and if you get too wet at night, simply pull down the waist of the bloomers over the bath/shower, dump the wet towel, wrap on a dry one and go back to bed and wet some more.
