If it's so the children don't have such easy access to them, here's a novel idea; Why don't parents keep an eye on their children and not let the computer become an electronic babysitter?
Here's another novel idea. A child unsupervised is going to find whatever they're looking for. It's human nature to want to explore. It's part of the growing up process that makes us want to become independent of our parents and strike out on our own. For someone to regulate what children see, by taking away what adults want..that's funny. Prostitution, the oldest profession in the world won't allow a minor to knowingly pay for services, but don't you think there are teenagers out there trying all the time.
When we attempt to regulate what we think is right because of a child, then I personally think we need to reevaluate our thinking. Years ago, it was a neighbor who was picked and all the parents would send their kids there, then television, video games and now computers. You Tube has the ability to rate videos as mature (ADULT CONTENT) and you have to be logged in to access them.
Pulling the videos for the children. KISS MY ASS and be a better parent. Get involved with your children. Know what they're doing when they're on the computer. Keep the computer in a common area. Set permissions on the users to allow only certain access to under age minors. It's all available in Windows and Internet Explorer. You can screen for content and unrated websites and allow adult access with a password, or deny access to minors.
So, enough of my rantings and my .02 cents has been put in!
