Being a little more on the outs of this I will give you some advice.
If its something you can't put up with, and don't want to try and understand you need to simply let him know. If hes willing to try and kick it you need to work together on doing so which will probably involve seeing a therapist together to help you through it.
If he doesn't have much interest in kicking it and tells you that, then hes not taking your feelings into consideration and is being selfish.
The same could be said for you if your trying to get him totally out of it, but theres a few ways to look at it. He never told you about this before he committed to you and he doesn't seem to even want to compromise or consider how you feel.
The other option is to set rules and try to work out some middle ground which will keep both of you happy enough.
My personal feeling on fetishs is being open with them but keeping them in the bed room and during that time. If both parties aren't hardcore into something together but they are willing to accept and even participate to make the other party happy it should be left in the bed room and there should be some equal participation from each side with what the other person likes.
