A quick update - my slightly damp but otherwise clean Abena lasted about 45 minutes.
As I sat on the sofa with my dearly beloved, I realised that I could feel gas building. If circumstances were different I would have made my way to the bathroom, but with my difficulty in moving generally and the security of the diaper I elected to stay put.
My loving partner could tell that something was up as I snuggled into his arms, and held me close as I shifted slowly and released a extensive stream of liquid matter into the rear of my diaper. He kissed me, and reassured me of his ongoing love, and then assisted me to the bathroom where he carefully stripped me, and helped me to clean up with the shower.
The slurry had spread both forwards and backwards, and had I not the security of my diaper I would have filled my underwear, soaked through to my outer clothing and possibly have left a mess on the furniture (or my beloved). As it was, all that was required was a few minutes with the gentle caress of warm water and soap.
After I had spent a few minutes further emptying myself again on the toilet (in private, we find few things less romantic) he gently redressed me in a fresh and clean diaper - with all the trappings of anti-rash cream and powder that one would for an infant.
So far, I'm clean and my stomach seems to have abated from its turmoil - I think I shall keep this diaper on overnight in case of a relapse.
He is (almost predictably) indulging the littler side of me tonight - he has already picked out my most infantile nightwear for me, and has promised a bottle and a story before we sleep.
