Jenn, I should put two cents in here, from another woman's prospective.
I do it alone now, because my husband wants no part of it. I would not necessarily want him to do it alone. But in addition, doing it alone could be a choice for both of you. In my case, my greatest wish would be to do it together, and with both of us enjoying it.
'Getting off' on it is not an absolute necessity. I expect most do, but some dont need that as part of their pooping exercises, and excursions. Yes, pretty much all these guys here do it for the sexual satisfaction. Most do not understand how anyone can do it for any other reason. Now, if he were doing it and we both enjoyed it, I know what the ending would be, and we would both enjoy that; but I have been pooping my panties alone for a very long time. Once, I tried it with the sexual part, but found that it overshadowed the bulge in my panties enough that I preferred to do it for the poop, not for the gratification. The taboo's - that's the biggie for me.
You said you were going to do it yourself tonight (4 days ago), and there are no further posts of your response to it. My take might have been (for your first time) to seek out the support of your husband, and not even talking about it until after. Perhaps just filling your panties and allowing him to discover what you have done --- but that is just me and my mindset. I fear that your first time (if you were able to do it) may not have been good for you. Or perhaps he discovered you, and the situation could be far worse, or far better - perhaps even good enough that you dont need us any more here. Maybe that so much the better - I can hope, can't I?
Several have responded to the cleanup, and one with my methodology - the baggie. I do that when I am not at home and fill my panties, but the baggie has clean panties for me to change into, and becomes the way to get the messy ones home after I have finished the cleanup. The papter towels and baby wipes are good ideas - guess I'll try them sometime. I have tended to use the water beneath me (if on the potty) to wash (somewhat like a manual bidet(?)), then use the TP to wipe dry. That may take a bit of doing your first time, though, since most have not touched their poop before. I have reached a point that the cleanup is not part and parcel of what I do, so it is not a chore... just something that has to be completed.
Preserve your panties; there is no need to throw them out - you might want to use them this way again. I dump, rinse (in the potty), soak in the sink, then wash normally.
I still like using a mirror, but in current situations, and when not at home, it is difficult. I like to watch as a bulge forms and grows to enormous proportions.
Dont make it a complicated thing, and dont let it become complicated; it isn't. It is a very simple thing. It is best if you wait until you are VERY full, that way simply letting go will get the deed done, and (if you are not constipated) probably very quickly. Keep the panties up, feel of the bulge with your hands. You need not do all the pushing and spreading that he was doing - Just leave it there and enjoy the bulge.
I MUCH prefer to pee before I poop - that way I dont have to worry about something that should not even be an issue. I have often done it sitting at the computer, but prefer to stand, or walk slowly as it makes its way out of me. I prefer not to push - the sensations are better that way, I think.
The best thing to do is be near the 'no more waiting' state, just stand, and let go. Relax, let it happen, examine what you have done, then clean up after perhaps five or ten minutes. After your cleanup, then it will be time to examine and determine if it is something you wish to continue doing. I submit you should not necessarily do it FOR your husband, but WITH him. If it happens that you do like it, then you both will likely enjoy doing it together.
