Wow, Sarah, this is one of the best desperation stories I've ever read on here. And you can write very evocatively. Your discriptions take the reader right into your world, without the usual distractions of bad grammar and spelling that interfere with the enjoyment of stories written by some writers. I was right there with you every step of the way, helping you clench your desperate cheeks together, sweating with you, hoping you'd make it (if you believe that last, I have a nice bridge in good condition....)
