Roger & can-do, thanks for your response, and I wecome more as well. I have often wondered, since my Mom was apparently into the feeling of total exhilaration from the freedom of "letting go" if this was the reason she was so compassionate about it. I feel comfortable in knowing that she did not encourage me to do so at fisrt, it was just a basic need of me needing relief, and if I had not been open with her a few years later, I'm sure I would have never learned of her desires. I think she let me find my own path, and once I did, she made me feel comfortable in knowing that I wasn't some kind of freak. I learned from Mom that almost everyone has some type of diversion away from the fast pace of life, and mine was harmless, although not socially acceptable. I'm fortunate to have had a parent who was involved in their child's life. For this reason, I never got caught up in the "fast" crowd, but played sports, went to college, and made a good living. One thing she couldn't save me from was failed relationships, unfortunately I had 2 divorces.
