If Freud had a diaper fetish, the whole world would be convinced that all of their problems stem from childhood fear of toilets and could be solved with regular sessions of soothing diaper therapy. Although he did have a thing about traumatic toilet training, hehe.
The thing is, the supposed experts don't know. So they repeat what Freud said, just because it sounds sorta plausible. But Freud based his analysis on a small sample size and drew his conclusions drawing on a wildly imaginative set of basic premises which led to absurd pronouncements. But he made it complicated enough so that if you memorize a bunch of it, you can sound "deep". Especially at parties.
The thing is, most 'professionals' in the field have no idea about any kind of fetish. Unless they have one themselves. And then, they only know what it's like to have one!
So I wouldn't give too much weight to the oral/anal thing. What about the vastly more numerous pee-ers out there? Are they just repressing their real desire to 'go all the way' and poop a big load, but they don't want to feel guilty? Or did Freud miss a hole? LOL.
