I refuse to believe that womanhood equals a small bladder. It's very individual and it's just as likely for a man to have a small bladder as for a woman.

Also, just because the space is available in the pelvic area for a large bladder doesn't necessarily mean the person has a bladder that can make use of all the space. Likewise, even if a woman doesn't have a whole lot of space (i.e.. she's real petite) that doesn't mean she has a small bladder. When a bladder fills it rises into the abdomen and if it's a really big bladder that's really full it'll also bulge out the front.

The bladder is made of three layers of muscle and just like any other muscle it will become "tight" if not stretched. Of course any muscle has a maximum theoretical limit to which it can be stretched and some people just don't have a very large theoretical limit. This is a person with a truly small bladder, not just one that has not reached it's full potential.

A lot of women might seem like they can't hold to an observer cause they never tell anyone they have to go till it's moments from coming out. It's been my experience that most average women can hang on for a long time cause there seems to be a greater chance that they can't find an acceptable place to go all the time. Sometimes you just have to hold it and if this happens a lot and you have a bladder with big potential then you get used to it.

I've only talked about size of the bladder and not the so called "weak bladder". That's really a separate thing in a way. Actually, if the bladder itself is strong then when the urge comes it may overpower the sphincter unless that too is very strong. So a person who can really hold it must have sphincters that are stronger than the bladder.

That's where the "waves" of urgency come from with little "rests" in between. The wave is the involuntary contraction of the bladder in an attempt to squeeze the pee out. If the person is successful in holding during the wave then after a bit the bladder gives up trying to empty for a bit and tries again later. During the rest period the pressure felt by the person is purely based on the amount of liquid and the natural elastic nature of the bladder.

Damn that was long but that's what I know.
