As somebody who's had over 100 surgeries due to burns I ALWAYS hated those damn catheters. And dreaded when they would take em out, I hated that sensation.
In the early years I was diapered often in the hospital. But in surgery recovery room and for immediate time afterward I would be undiapered.
And then I regained bowel control at age 15. But with each surgery came those catheters, when I could I asked that it be taken out before I awoke from surgery.
