I recently stayed one night at a hotel that seemed to have had tons of kids staying there. The bed was very nice and there was no waterproof pad on it. I had packed a diaper and an insert but was worried about leaks and had no room for a waterproof pad in my small bag. I called housekeeping as soon as I checked in and it put me back to the front desk to the same lady that checked me in and I said " oh i thought this was housekeeping. I was wondering if u had any thing waterproof for the mattress?" thnking she would understand what I was getting at but she did not and seem shocked and said "WATERPROOF?!?! ummm nnnnooooooo huh? Nooo we don't have that ... Sorry". I was highly embarrassed. How do you pose the subject in a hotel? What specifically do you say? Do. They normally have a plastic sheet they put on the mattress? Or do hotels not have this? Ps the diaper held and the bed was dry thank god!!
