Sorry, not a girl. However I am a know-it-all so I will try to respond to your query because, well, that's what "know-it-alls" do.
I truly believe that people haven't a clue what they want in a partner until they find it. Of course there is an ideal candidate in each of our minds but since none of live on the Plutonic Plane, that person doesn't really exist so it comes down to that person having more of the qualities we want and less of the ones we don't. The most interesting thing to me is that our priorities change as we age as to which qualities we will trade off on.
Finally there is a self esteem issue, how worthy am I to have someone with the qualities I value.
The reality is, I got lucky. The qualities I value showed up in a package that was crazy enough to fall in love with me.
